Architecture Projects (2019 - 2020)

Pallet Town

In January 2020 our studio travelled to California’s Imperial valley to learn about nomadic culture and visit the Rubber Tramp Rendevous, an annual gathering and sharing of van-dwelling knowledge. I designed a proposal for a speculative community of nomadic builders inspired by van dwellers at the Salton Sea. Inspired by the ingenuity of ad hoc sheds and gardens at Slab City, Salvation Mountain, and interiors of vans themselves, this project explores modest material as a means of creating place and self-expression.

A senior design project for the architecture major. Featured in Retrospecta 43, Yale School of Architecture. Special thanks to Bob Wells and Jessica Bruder for sharing their expertise on life in Nomadland.

Beaver Pond Clubhouse

Pop Smith baseball team is one of the oldest in the New Haven area, and needs to support and accommodate the growing community that it serves. The program for the baseball community center includes a clubhouse for coaches and teams to meet, an adjacent concession stand and seating area, and a quiet study space for players and families to use in between practices.

A senior studio project.
